Hayati Journeys
We host group trips that give Muslim-Canadian women the chance to experience the outdoors through hiking, canoeing, camping, cabin stays, and more. These journeys are about community, confidence, and connection—on your terms.
As I was reading Ramadan Reflections, a guided journal by Aliyah Umm Raiyaan, her words on Day 11 captured exactly how I feel about nature and how it gives me the space to be more present and reflect on my relationship with myself and with God. She writes:
“Today, I had to take myself to the park to get myself into a more present state. When life is so full and busy, I find that I have to every so often prioritise my soul by immersing it in something connected to nature in order to be present, and reconnect with the Creator. I once heard a speaker say, ‘Every so often, your heart needs to see greenery.’ He could not be more right.”
That’s the heart of Hayati Journeys.
